PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: VIOLENCE ON EVERY CORNER

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: A WORLD AT WAR

The news has been full of the topic of gun control since the shooting at the Parkland, Florida high school.  Today the headlines were the death of Reverend Billy Graham, an evangelist who spoke to over 200 million souls in course of his 70 years on the pulpit.  The message of the violence compared to the message of hope and salvation that Billy Graham taught are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Pastor John Collins is an evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries who preaches hope and salvation, just like Billy Graham.  Unlike most evangelists today, Pastor John Collins is humble and outspoken when it comes to the truth of the Word of God.  Pastor John Collins touches on the untouchable, politically correct topics from other pulpits-including gun control, terrorism, school shootings, and the loss of faith of the American people.  The faith and hope that began this country is gone; there is no value of human life.  There is no compassion or caring for our fellow man.  There is no fear of retribution, there is no fear of God writes Pastor John Collins.

How can we stop the violence that we see around us?  According to Pastor John Collins, it is by finding our faith again.  Pastor John Collins continues to preach hope and salvation which will turn us toward faith, and help us find our compassion for our fellow man. Pastor John Collins puts it plainly:  we need to get closer to the Cross and Jesus Christ and find our way to bring God back into our lives.  That is when we will see the violence begin to stop.

“We should come to recognize that more needs to be done to prevent these tragedies and that will only happen when this world chooses to recognize the need for God every moment of everyday of every life.” ~ Pastor John Collins.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.” Luke 12:35-36 (NKJV).

This world is at war. It is not only terrorism, school shootings, murder and violence at every corner. It is a war on humanity at every level. Faith is fading and with that is a loss of the value of a human life. People are meant to be precious, not only to God but to each other. We are meant to find compassion and a willingness to be kind to our fellow man within ourselves. How is that possible if we, as a human race, do not hold the word of God as truth? How can children learn to get on their knees and thank God for their very lives if they don’t believe?

Communities want to talk about gun control and laws. I want to talk about what makes it possible for so many to be willing to pick up a gun and kill others. That is only possible if a person does not fear the retribution of God Himself, if a person does not value what God values and if a person does not have the faith that is required to not only bring about hope for themselves but to bring about submission to the will of God. Without faith and hope in God and the work of Jesus Christ, the worth of a human life is lost. Faith in this country is frail and failing and parents are looking to schools and laws to educate their children. Unfortunately, secularism is a failure if faith is weak inside of a home. Children must be taught the priority of rights and wrongs and that will not come from anywhere but the Bible.

The Bible is not some archaic book filled with stories but is a guideline to our lives. Prayer is not something that you casually engage in when you encounter illness or misfortune in your life but it is an open line of communication with your Creator and with Jesus as your intercessor. We should not have to continuously pray for those who suffer such tragedy but should come to recognize that more needs to be done to prevent these tragedies and that will only happen when this world chooses to recognize the need for God every moment of everyday of every life. It needs to start within each home and people should not wait for the miracles to show up at their door but should begin to educate themselves and their families in preparation for the miracles to come. This world has lost the fear of God and it is the fear of God that will save souls.

“Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.” Luke 12:37 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: GOD AND JESUS VALUE WOMEN

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: THE VALUE OF WOMEN

Pastor John Collins, evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries, has been leading a revival of faith across the United States for many years.  His speaks of faith and hope, preaching the Gospel in such a way that it is easy to hear the Word of God.

Pastor John Collins posts devotionals on a regular basis on his Facebook page.  Each post is a snapshot of what he preaches during his revival series.  He talks about topics that are not politically correct and places them in a biblical light.  Pastor John Collins says clearly he is not politically correct, he is biblically correct.

Women through the centuries have struggled to validate their place in the world.  Pastor John Collins recognizes that Jesus and God value women.  Women are strong and courageous.  They have never been taken for granted by God.  Strong faith is what women need to face the world today, that faith in Jesus and in God will guide them.

“A woman’s role does not have to be one thing or another but it should always be a role of strength and dignity with love and compassion at its core.”~ Pastor John Collins

Pastor John Collins writes:

“Jesus said to her, ‘Do not cling to Me, for I have yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.” John 20:16-18

Mary Magdalene believed in Jesus, sought Him out, anointed Him with oil, wept on His feet and wiped those feet with her hair. Mary sat at the feet of Jesus, learned from Him and was a disciple of His. Mary was the one that Jesus chose to see first after He was resurrected. Mary was brave and humble when she went to Him in that house of the Pharisee as she cared not what others thought of her, nor spoke of her but cared only to go to Jesus and kiss His feet and seek His forgiveness and His acceptance and Jesus not only gave that forgiveness, accepted her love for Him but spoke that she would be remembered for her actions and He demonstrated her value when He chose to go to Mary first and to give her the honor of knowing He was alive and to relate that information along with her witness of Him to his brethren.

It took courage to follow Jesus during His ministry and it took faith to know Him as the Son of God. Mary had that courage and had great faith in her Lord. There were dark centuries that followed the beginnings of the Christian faith. There have been centuries of oppression of not only the uneducated but of women as well. Women have come a long way from the days of the dark ages, of the days of education denial (for many parts of the world, anyway), and from the denial of equality of the genders. Women push forward in their search for that equality and for the opportunities to make their mark in this world but I want to remind women that their mark has been made and has never been taken for granted by God. God values women and Jesus demonstrated the love that He had for Mary by going to her first, by teaching her and standing up for her. Women should never forget that their value begins in the home, for they are the caretakers, the bringers of life and the mothers of our children. Do not underestimate the value of those things as being a mother allows you to teach your children how to get to heaven, how to live boldly and with faith in this dark world and being a wife allows you to help your husband be a part of a family that relies on God. A woman’s role does not have to be one thing or another but it should always be a role of strength and dignity with love and compassion at its core. That is the love of God within you and God has provided women with the complex ability to keep a family together and to guide it in love and faith with trust and truth at its center.

There always seems to be an agenda on the table and as progress ticks away and women continue to fight for what they believe to be most important to them I can only hope that they remember to value what has always belonged to them from the beginning. Family is everything and while equal pay may seem to be the biggest priority to some this world seems to be allowing the family to fail. Industrial success will never replace the failures of our homes and women need to find the courage, like Mary, to believe in our Savior and to brave the opinions of others to declare their loyalty to Him as they live up to the great responsibilities that have been entrusted to them. It is not easy to choose faith over finances, faith over popularity, faith over apparent success or faith over personal gain but in the end heaven is waiting and families need strong women to guide them.

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.  But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, REVIVAL EVANGELIST: Simplify your life

Pastor John Collins:  What matters?

Pastor John Collins is an evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries.  Pastor John Collins has been preaching revival of faith in God and Jesus Christ, preaching no nonsense and clear cut messages of the Holy Bible to bring God back into our lives.  He is a nationally and world known pastor.  His messages cut no corners and do not pad the truth of God with political correctness that so many ministers and pastors buy into and spread from their pulpits.  Pastor John Collins lives the words that he preaches.  He is restoring the lessons that Jesus Christ taught during His time He lived among people. Too often, those who call themselves Christians miss the point of Christianity.  Pastor John Collins brings the point of faith, God and Jesus Christ clearer to those who hear him.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.” 1 Timothy 6:6-8 (NKJV).

Simplicity in life is a choice, for the majority of people in America, anyway. Although across the globe there are deprivations that have created great need in many societies, America remains contemptuous of the basic provisions that are taken for granted and seen as poverty. In this country, the people are hungry for more, for better, for the next new and shiny thing. What are the newest trends in fashion, in home decorations, cars and all of the accessories that add detail to the presentation of status and success? People care about their food, their entertainment, their education and their jobs and pass on those values to those they have brought into this world. When did the basics stop become enough? Why are we so impressed with materialism?

We were all born naked and without the awareness of greed and lust. We were all born with the same basic needs of survival. All will die and will take nothing with us; that we can carry anyway. What we take are the lessons, the love, the memories and the connections that we made in our relationships while we were here. It is not necessary to become rich or famous. It is not necessary to amass a fortune. It is necessary to love and be loved, to allow those that are close to you to know you intimately and to value the closeness that you will be given by those who matter to you in life. You should be building relationships and friendships that are loving, loyal and lasting. That is what matters, that you be honest with yourself and others, that you learn to forgive yourself and others and that you allow your faith to grow and guide you. Life passes so quickly and sometimes, too often, it will pass us by while we think we are doing the best we can to make a living and keep the wolves at bay that we have forgotten to pay attention to those that live with us, to those who we are friends with, to the neighbors we haven’t bothered to introduce ourselves to. We have allowed technology to erase our human connectivity with one another and have become so busy and tired striving for better that we have not taken the time to just stop, look around and be grateful for what we have.

It is worth it to just take a moment and imagine the worst has happened and you have lost a loved one, whoever may be the greatest shock to you, and to think if you would have said something different, done something different and to not hesitate to do that now. Make the choice to simplify your life and restructure what you hold dear in life. Make the choice to allow the love of God that is in your heart to guide your words, your actions and your intentions. Make the choice to care more about the people in your life and less about the stuff. Life is precious and all of our time is limited so don’t hesitate to show the love you have, go meet a neighbor and be kind to a stranger. Learn to let your life shine for Jesus.

“But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:9-10 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: SEX SELLS

Pastor John Collins: We live in a sexual world

Pastor John Collins, evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries, continues to spread the Word of God and revival of hope and faith across the globe.  Daily posts by Pastor John Collins give a snapshot into the content of his sermons, interviews, recordings, and videos.

Pastor John Collins has been promoting revival of faith and hope for many years.  In a revival tour across the country, Pastor John Collins has consistently spread a message of hope, to bring people back to God.  The United States society has turned its back on God, more so in the last decades than ever before.  God wants everyone back with Him, those who will choose so.  People need to hear the Word of God without it being watered down and made to fit; Pastor John Collins preaches it like it is.

Lately, there has been news broadcast after news broadcast about sexual harassment and #Metoo movement.  Pastor John Collins addresses this hot topic in this post from a biblically correct, not politically correct point of view.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world.” 1 John 2:16 (NKJV).

We live in a sexual world, ruled by lusts and desires. Sex sells. Temptation and allure makes for good entertainment as is evident by all of the campaign ads for products, the dramas on television and all of the reality TV shows that are so popular. Men and women both want to feel sexy and good about themselves. There is upset in Hollywood about the good old boys club of perverts and perpetrators. There is conversations taking place about women being seen as objects for the pleasure of the powerful and those that have status and are beautiful themselves. The elite like to act bad and turn a blind eye but it is not only the elite that behave in this way, it is mankind because mankind was built with reproduction in mind and one of the keys to furthering the population is desire.

Let us be very honest about desire. Men lust and women lust. Both men and women want to create sexual desire in those that they desire themselves as well as those that they don’t because to create awareness of your desire in others is to claim power for yourself. Women want to be wanted but they don’t want to be seen as prey nor be treated as meat. Men want to be wanted and some wouldn’t mind being treated as prey as it is empowering to have others want you. Men and women that find themselves on the less fortunate scales of beauty and yet desire to be desired will often use other means to obtain that control such as money, power and position. It is a fine line that people walk in dealing with lust, self-esteem, self-confidence and expression of self that is often displayed through one’s looks and clothing. Revealing clothes, short skirts, tight pants, fancy suits and hair done just right with make-up in place and attitudes honed to achieve the desired effect on others. Women want men to want them and women to envy them and men want women to want them and men to envy them. Let’s be honest about the sexual nature of our society and if anything is to change it must begin within.

When does a man or woman’s desire to look good and feel sexy become a stumbling block for another? When does a man’s desire for all of the benefits that he sees come with his physical appearance, status and financial means become a threat? There is a line that should never be crossed between men and women, especially in the workplace but the lines have been blurred for a very long time now and it is the responsibility of the individual to choose to walk a line that is upright and without ulterior motives. We should not be hunting one another and we should not be using our looks, dress, money or positions to further our own desires. We should be aware of our effect on one another and most of all we should be aware of what motivates us to get dressed up and look as we do when we walk out that door in the morning. It is not necessary for women to dress in potato sacks with plain faces and their hair in a bun as it is not necessary for men to become pot-bellied slobs in ill-fitting suits but it should be necessary for men and women to dress without sexual provocation and to limit their allure in the workplace.

Desire is natural and should be good. Sex is natural and should be good. Our relaxed sexual atmosphere has created a relaxed viewpoint on what is proper and what is profane. We cannot have our cake and eat it too. You cannot dress in a manner that you know creates desire in others and expect to have others ignore you. We must all take responsibility for our own choices and we must all recognize that it is not just men who are the problem and it is not just the women who are the problem. Our bodies were meant to be shared with our spouses, for pleasure and for reproduction. We are not meant to be free in our sexual encounters because they are supposed to mean something and it is meant to be special and sanctified. Be willing to look at what moves you to desire, what prompts your self-worth and how you value your sexual beliefs and behavior and be willing to compare that with the outlook of our Creator and see if they line up.

“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7 (NKJV).

Pastor John Collins: Sacrifice and Prosperity Doctrine

Pastor John Collins: What does God want from you?

Pastor John Collins is a nationally and world known evangelist and pastor of Love That Cross Ministries.  His commitment to bringing the truth of God back to as many who will hear it is unwavering.

Pastor John Collins continues to spread revival through his messages of hope and faith.  His daily posts on Facebook give a snapshot of messages that he has preached across the United States and globally.

We live in a world where we are bombarded with messages from the pulpit asking for money, our “first fruits” so to speak, to be tithed to the churches we attend, or to support a ministry that is televised or broadcast globally.  Often, it is a topic of a sermon in the early part of the year for many preachers.  Pastor John Collins gives a concise explanation of just what it is that God expects from us when it comes to sacrifice and giving money (Ron Brown).

“God does not want your dollars but your heart, faith, and prayers and to save your soul through the sacrifice that He provided.”~Pastor John Collins.

Pastor John Collins wrote:

“For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Hosea 6:6 (NKJV).

Before Jesus came to this world, lived, preached, taught, suffered, died on a cross and arose again, there was the temple and the Levitical system that had all of God’s people bringing sacrifices to the Lord. Jesus became the true sacrifice for which the shadow had been cast and the lessons of what the sacrifices had been for was cast in order to teach the people of the Lord what was required to cover the sins of mankind. There were different kinds of sacrifices and different costs for them which came at a heavy price and burden to some and easily and casually to others. The temple system became corrupted by greedy men in power who used God to further their own finances which is generally what men have done with religion since the beginning of time. It is evident today with all of the prosperity preachers out there persuading the believers to give and give and give, financially of course.

Yet, what does God want from you? God cannot benefit from your money. God does not want your dollars but your heart, faith, and prayers and to save your soul through the sacrifice that He provided. Prosperity preachers are a disgrace and will not see heaven. Before you consider tithing at any time in your life, consider what you may offer to God. Could you devote time daily to reading the bible, pray more for conviction in your soul, or could you increase your faith and commit to walking in your faith confidently and include your family? Do you teach your children that the most important thing in life is success or making it to heaven? What is it that you could offer to God that is not money at all but is the currency of heaven? God wants forgiveness and love to open hearts to each other. God wants us to be kind to each other and not spiteful. Our children should not be bullied or bullies and we should not be gossips without morals. There are so many ways that you can give to God and live your faith without buying in to the prosperity message.

Jesus said to go and sin no more. We have been forgiven if we ask for it and we have been given salvation from on High. This world is filled with souls that are stained with sin and apathy. We should be seeking His will in our lives as we go through the motions of our jobs, education, socialization and relationships. Do not think that giving money to greedy churches and people endears you to God. It is time to see through the hypocrisy of the actors who fill the pulpits and see them for the blind guides that they truly are. Get a Bible and pick it up, read it and learn from it. Let your own heart guide your instructions from God. Seek Him and not those who would use him to line their own pockets.

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.” Matthew 23:13-14 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: On any given Sunday.....

I have another active blog on Blogger about Pastor John Collins.  His style of preaching fascinates me, and his grasp on God, Jesus, salvation and resurrection is like no other pastor that I've heard or read, since perhaps Billy Graham.  I came across the blog below and opted to cut and paste rather than share it from Wordpress.  I posted it on my other active Blogger site and Wordpress blog as well.  Pastor John Collins, head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries, is well worth the read.  Love That Cross Ministry originated out of Wheatland, Wyoming and the theme of revival and salvation is thankfully spreading across the USA.  Enjoy!

On any given Christian based television or radio program you will hear preachers exclaiming that “THE END TIMES” are here in the world and that Jesus Christ is going to come back and take Christians to Heaven any day now.  It stirs a sense of fear in people who do not believe in God, people who want to know why they feel something is missing in their lives but don’t know what it is.  This is the same message that has been repeated over and over for decades:  the End is near.  Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross Ministries will agree that today’s world is worse than Sodom and Gomorrah of the Old Testament, but Pastor John feels that God wants the people of the world to ALL have a last chance at the Hope of salvation through Jesus Christ and His resurrection.

Pastor John Collins began his ministry with the faith and knowledge that God wants people to come back to Him.  Person by person, church by church, the world has turned from GodPastor John Collins’ mission has been to reach out to people and churches across the United States, one person at a time, one church at a time to bring renewal of faith and hope in God and Jesus Christ. Pastor John Collins knows that it is not yet the time of Revelation as written in the Holy Bible, but it is a time of REVIVAL and RENEWAL.

Love That Cross Ministries began in Wyoming, focusing on the message of REVIVAL.  In his first revival through Love That Cross Ministries in Wyoming communities came together to worship and celebrate the presence of God through music and witnessing. From a small town in the west, over 600 people attended the free concert and heard a message of hope and salvation in Wheatland, Wyoming, by well-known entertainers from around the country.  Pastor John’s message is compelling-there is STILL Hope for everyone through the salvation by Jesus Christ and His resurrection.  It is selfish for Christians to pray for Jesus Christ to return with so many people in the United States and the world not even knowing who God is and who Jesus Christ is.  In order to please God, we need to revive FAITH. God wants us back.

A REVIVAL of FAITH does not come overnight.  The deterioration of faith did not happen overnight.  Pastor John Collins will tell you to take a look at the history of the United States.  This is a paraphrased excerpt from Pastor John Collins’ radio programming:  A country that was founded on the premise of freedom no longer values those freedoms!! God blessed the men and women who settled the United States and established a nation that was based on faith in God!!  But now, for more than 50 years, the United States has increasingly kicked GOD out of everyday life!! In the 1960’s prayer and devotions were taken out of the public school system because it offended a child!! Today Christian youth have to seek special permission to worship God publically during school hours!  The freedom of religion and freedom of speech within schools is NO FREEDOM at all. The United States court houses have been mandated across the country to take the Ten Commandments down from the buildings.  The Ten Commandments are the foundation of justice, sent from GOD who is JUST and FAIR. God has been banned from courts whose JUSTICE is not based on faith in GOD but on what is POLITICALLY CORRECT. Faith within families has been cast aside for more alluring attractions like television programing, computer games, social media, and technology that are EMPTY of the Word of God and the values that were taught by Jesus Christ. Churches have kicked God out, putting emphasis on profit, congregation size, and performances of the people on the pulpit rather than building FAITH and FEEDING THE SOUL to prepare for eternal life, not the life that we live HERE.

Pastor John’s message in that radio programming is sadly on target.  We as a country have kicked God out of every part of our everyday lives.  God does not force Himself into our lives; He waits with Jesus to be invited in.  Our society is the way it is because we turned our back on God.  We are getting exactly what we are asking for from God. Pastor John Collins has devoted Love That Cross Ministries to reviving the Word of God and the Hope of Jesus Christ across the United States.  He believes that God wants this country to have a chance through revival, one person at a time, one church at a time. Televangelists do preach that there is REVIVAL and RENEWAL crossing the United States.  The REVIVAL that is needed, according to Pastor John, is one of individual faith.  Without healing ourselves first, we cannot heal a church or a community. We need to turn ourselves back toward God in order for God to turn our country around.  We need to come humbly before God, on our knees, and seek His forgiveness so that we can REVIVE our country.  It isn’t about politics and doing what won’t offend people, it isn’t about being POLITICALLY CORRECT.  Pastor John Collins and many other preachers will tell you that JESUS CHRIST was not POLITICALLY CORRECT!!! Being POLITICALLY CORRECT is not going to save your soul and it’s not going to save the United States.

Pastor John Collins passionately preaches that in order for us to have REVIVAL in our country, we need to get down on our KNEES in PRAYERPRAYER is the way to REVIVALREVIVAL is needed for our salvation. The only way we are going to turn this country around, one person at a time, is to seek the SALVATION that faith in GOD and JESUS CHRIST offers.
Pastor John will bluntly tell you it isn’t about sending money to a televangelist to pray for us.  Pastor John will tell you it isn’t about simply going to church and sitting in a pew on any given Sunday.
It IS about REVIVAL of your faith by getting your knees dirty, by caring about others, by helping the poor, by walking, living and acting your faith EVERY DAY, not just on Sunday. We have to come back to the Cross, and LOVE the Cross for what was given there for us by a God who is THERE and is WAITING for us to turn back to Him in REVIVAL and FAITH.

In the words of Pastor John: “BELIEVE THAT!!”
