Hitler used propaganda to spread the hatred of the Jews by telling the German people that the Jews were responsible for the fall of Germany in WWI and for all of the domestic problems of the Germans, the KKK hate the blacks, Latinos and the Jews and stir up that hatred by using propaganda to spread their message, the extreme Islamists who desire terrorism use propaganda to further their cause by spreading fear to the infidel.

You can research the number of people killed in the wars of the world by the number of casualties. The list does not include the earliest battles in the history of the world and yet the numbers are in the hundreds of millions of people who have been killed in these confrontations. These numbers do not include gang wars, murders in general or attempted murders.

What fools people are!! The only enemy anyone needs to be concerned about is if they themselves are the enemy of God. God has used war to humble a people and to lift up a people. Israel is the perfect example of how God will protect those who worship Him in truth and of how God will punish those who do not. God will also allow the will of the people to decide their course which sometimes effects the whole of a nation and sometimes only effects the individual.

Sodom and Gomorrah became polluted and brought prayers and cries up to heaven which brought about the destruction of the five cities. God is not deaf nor is He blind but He is slow to anger and abundant in mercy. This country is on a path of self-destruction and is allowing the propaganda of today to dilute the resolve of the people to be godly people. We have comedians and politicians paving the way straight to hell and we have people laughing their way there.

We do not want the people of this nation to be the enemies of God nor any of the people of any other nation. We need to stop hating our brother and sister and stop allowing the devil to claim so many. We need to stand for the word of God and allow Jesus to be our truth. Christ is the way, the truth and the life, let us follow Him!

At least 58% of 10,000 people surveyed believe that Jesus Christ was a myth

This past week is traditionally recognized as Holy Week, Christians around the world reflect upon the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  Jews will begin the celebration of Passover at sundown on Friday.  Easter for most Christians is recognized as the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.  Without Easter, or Resurrection Day, Christmas is pointless.  In a broadcast, Pastor John Collins, evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries, reflected that a survey of 10,000 people revealed that at least 58% of those surveyed believe that Jesus Christ and His story is a myth. The “myth” of Jesus Christ living and dying is written in the Holy Bible, for Christians, that is enough.  However, for those who question the validity of Jesus, there are other separate and distinct documentations of Jesus Christ written by the Romans very accurately:  Romans kept detailed documentation of political issues within the Roman Empire.  Also, a man known as Josephus, or Flavius Josephus, wrote a detailed and documented text about the history of the Jews which includes validation of the life of Jesus Christ.  Jesus is not a myth.  As Pastor John Collins succinctly put it, Jesus died, Mohammed died, Buddha died, Confucius died, John Smith died….they all died.  The ONLY one who rose from the dead is Jesus Christ.  The impact of Jesus Christ continues to spread more than 2000 years later, however, those of us privileged to live in the United States have degraded the lessons He taught and twisted them to what people want to hear.  We kicked God out of government, out of family, out of school, and out of church, and wonder why we have greater issues now in our society than ever before. **

"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53: 4-6 (NKJV).

This world is not innocent. So, why do so many take things so personally and get so offended by the grief that comes with life? Why do so many place the blame squarely upon the shoulders of God? What is wrong with sorrow and grief? It teaches you to appreciate the joy and hope. What is wrong with sickness and death? It teaches you that there are seasons to life and health is not a guarantee. What is wrong with loss? It teaches you to appreciate what you have. There is beauty and wonder that we have feelings at all. Life is precious and filled with the ability to emotionally connect with others and death is filled with hope because Jesus has made it possible for you to continue loving those that you love.

People want to feel wounded and offended that they have suffered in this life and they want someone to blame and want to complain about it all, to be the victim. There are victims in this life and there are terrible things that happen but that is part of living among others who have the same opportunity as you have and that is free will. There are bad people in this world and there is evil in this world and that is something that we all have to deal with for now. It doesn’t mean that anyone has the right to blame God or to sit on the pity pot because as long as there is breath in your body, there is hope for salvation and you will not be gaining salvation while there is resentment for God and bitterness toward Him because you find your sufferings too big to accept.

Jesus did not grow old. Jesus did not get gray hair and lose His eyesight. Jesus did not raise a family and rock His child to sleep. Jesus did not take vacations and travel around the world to see different places. Jesus did not have the luxury of a long life. Jesus came to this world and from His earliest age was doing the work of His Father. Jesus concerned Himself with His people, His land and the salvation of this world. Jesus taught others and took the time to heal others and be kind. Jesus is perfect and yet He suffered for you. Jesus was ridiculed and mocked, beaten and hung on a cross to die. For you.

This is not a fairy tale that you have outgrown. This happened. Jesus is not just some man that lived long ago. Jesus is the Son of God and your Savior. Think about just how much you do have to be thankful for this week. As you make your plans to gather together for a meal and rejoicing, think about the times that Jesus gathered with His people for a meal. Jesus always was thinking of others, the salvation of souls. In the end that is what counts because the soul is eternal and we should all be thinking in that manner, maybe then awareness of the enormity of the gift that Christ has made possible for us all would truly sink in and gratefulness, the kind that produces life, would follow.

“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body.’ then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until the day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.’” Matthew 26: 26-29 (NKJV).

We look around at our country and we see division.  A teen shot in Pittsburgh by a police officer sets the community off into a spin.  A shooter in Annapolis Maryland puts us into an all too familiar routine of terrorism through victimization.  We fight against each other.  Know what?  We as people fight against each other in church and beliefs too, observes Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross and John Collins Ministries.

“Throughout the last 2000 years or so there have been many separations within the body of Christ because of dissension among its members. This has led to different denominations and beliefs with different dogmas within Christianity. This is not how it should be.” Pastor John Collins, April 2018.

Believing in Jesus is simple.  There is no call for separation or arguing that this group is better within another group, which is exactly what happened at the beginning of Christianity, and it is no different today.  Pastor John Collins is a non-denominational evangelist and is spreading revival and preaching to redeem the Gospel.  Pastor John Collins has no problem challenging those who interpret the Bible for their own purposes.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.  I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” 1 Corinthians 3:1-3 (NKJV).

Paul addressed the divisions that sprung up among the believers in Corinth. This is not a new problem. With the followers of Christ came the problems of men. There were divisions of opinions and importance which has been a constant in the church and is not any different today. There were councils created to resolve the issues that came about from the differences of interpreting the scriptures and beliefs of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Throughout the last 2000 years or so there have been many separations within the body of Christ because of dissension among its members. This has led to different denominations and beliefs with different dogmas within Christianity. This is not how it should be. There is a simplicity to believing in Jesus and coming to the foot of the Cross. There is an availability to Jesus that is freely given to the believer and that is to the individual as well as to the group. You do not need to belong to a specific denomination or church affiliation in order to claim salvation.

The early days of Christianity came with power grabs and status snatching from the different church locations within each region. This was so that those who ran those churches would be given authority and all that comes with a position of loftiness within the hierarchy. It is no different today. There are churches that claim that their denomination has superior authority and superior authenticity. There are denominations that believe that their way has greater approval from God and Jesus. That is ridiculous. God is seeking those who love Him in spirit and truth, period. The Holy Bible is the word of God and is not complicated to understand. Most don’t bother to read it thoroughly enough to be able to apply it to their lives though. Most go to whatever church has become part of their routine and belief system and stay there.

Jesus wants us to obey God and to obey Him. We are meant to keep it simple and to be submissive to the will of God in our lives. How often do you notice Christians arguing amongst themselves about their beliefs? How often do you see the differences between those beliefs cause resentment and bitterness? All Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Why are things complicated? What is so difficult about being of one mind? The reason that there are different denominations is because man wanted greater authority and power for themselves so they created a separate group within the group to attain that power. There should never be separation within the body of Christ. There should never be a demand to follow the dogma of man. We should follow the commands of Christ.

Keep it simple and know that Jesus just wants you to get it right. That means to seek righteousness. Seek to purify your heart and mind and to always seek God first in all that you do. Continue to pray diligently and learn to ask for those things that are approved of by God and not selfish desires of your heart. Be loyal in your faith and Jesus will be loyal to you.

“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.  According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 (NKJV).

Are you a fence sitter when it comes to declaring your faith?  Do you hedge your bets, believing in a part of this faith, a bit of that doctrine, a little of that religion?  All in.  That is what God wants from us and Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross Ministries and Pastor John Collins Ministries tells us.  All in, all of us, not part of our faith, part of our heart, part of our souls.   All our heart, soul, mind and strength.  That is the first and greatest commandment, it’s part of the Hebrew Shema, and what Jesus Christ taught when He walked the earth as a person 2000 plus years ago.  Pastor John Collins is determined to bring as many who will come back to the Cross.

It’s time to take faith seriously.  It’s time to step back, look at ourselves and our hearts and seek the hope that is Jesus Christ (Pastor John Collins, paraphrased).

Pastor John Collins writes:

“And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:10-14 (NKJV).

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mark 13:32 (NKJV).

Many are saying that we are nearing the end of times, that Jesus will return soon, that the rapture is near and tribulation is upon us. Jesus said that only the Father knows the time so it is impossible for anyone to know when the end will come. Yet, with so many preachers teaching this and so many eyes open to the happenings in the Middle East and so much attention being drawn to prophecy and supposition, why are people not taking their faith more seriously? Why is there not more people repenting and coming to the foot of the cross?

When prophets were sent to Israel and Judah, they were not always heard. The sad truth is the majority of the people clung to their ways, their sin and their attachment to this world. Too many perished because of their stubbornness and refusal to submit to God. Every day that God holds back the judgment of this world is a day of mercy to us all. Each of those days is an opportunity to shout from the rooftops that salvation is available to the lost. Each day is filled with the hope that we will come to our senses and get right with God.

We need to take our faith and salvation seriously. We need to stop procrastinating and stop putting off changing our lives and our ways. We need to get this right for ourselves and each other. We cannot be half committed, somewhat devoted or undecided when it comes to being a follower of Christ. We need to give all, believe whole-heartedly and commit completely to living a life that is in obedience to Jesus and in submission to God. That is what ensures our eternal salvation with the reward of entry through heaven’s gates.

We all can do better, be better and become more Christ-like. Each of us needs to be willing to alter our lives and purify our hearts. It is not enough to say, “I am a work in progress.” We all need to take the steps to rid our lives of sinful influence and to resist our temptations. We need to get honest with ourselves about what we hide from the world, about what we don’t admit and about what needs to change. Jesus is your strength and He wants you to belong to Him. Do not deny yourself forever in heaven because you were unsure or lazy in your faith. Even if you have doubts, call on Jesus in truth and I know that those doubts will fade and the truth along with the hope of salvation will bloom in your heart.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I have overcome and sat down with My Father on His throne.” Revelations 3:20-21 (NKJV).

Our children are our biggest resource.  When we grow old, it is our children who will be making choices that will affect us.  Children today seem to be encouraged to grow up fast and childhood is lost through abuse, neglect, selfishness, and ignorance.  The phrase children should be seen and not heard was a phrase that was coined during the Middle Ages.  Some would like to say it comes from the Holy Bible, but that is wrong.  The Holy Bible is very clear about how to raise children, and Jesus spoke to the disciples who tried to keep children away from Him. 

Children are precious to God, and when we become parents, we are being given a blessing and a responsibility to raise a child for God ~ Pastor John Collins, 2017 (paraphrased).

Pastor John Collins, evangelist and head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries, Inc., teaches us that it is our children who need to be given the time and care necessary for them to learn how to behave, how to become responsible, and how to become mature Christians.  We have sure fallen far from raising a generation of children who know God or Jesus Christ.  

Unfortunately, like so much in this world, children can be as much as something to throw away or ignore as a used tissue.  When David Wilkerson went into the streets to work with gangs and drug addicts in New York City, he also discovered a lost generation-these are the children of the addicts that were left alone while parents went out in search of a fix, and often they were left alone for long periods of time.  Those children didn’t smile or play as children are supposed to do as part of growth and development.  They were left alone in ghetto apartments with boxes of cereal or crackers (if there was any food at all).  These children were quiet because to make noise would draw abuse.  They were neither seen nor heard.  They were not called children; Reverend Wilkerson called them little people because they never experienced childhood.  They were little people, neither adults nor children.

 “We have got to grow up and get right with God. Parents need to parent. We have to be able to see that selfish pleasures and needs in our own lives do not serve our children well. There is too much partying and romance that keeps parents from their children. People don’t want to hear that faith is the answer but that is the truth. The solution to every problem lies in the hands of Jesus. The change that comes from believing and trusting in God is truly miraculous. The hope that comes from the Cross is eternal.” Pastor John Collins, February, 2018.

Our way of life has got to change. What happens when kids have kids? What happens when the “parents” put their social lives and partying ahead of their own children? What happens when a parent’s love life takes precedence over spending time with their kids? What happens when a child’s right of passage to maturity is their first beer, their first drag of a cigarette, their first joint, their first line and their first sexual encounter?

Too many parents are clinging to youth by partying and dressing to impress. Too many parents are living lives that are teaching the young that social interactions are at the top of the priority list. Too many parents are going out and cutting loose because they feel that they have lost so many of their “good years” to raising children. What example are we setting for the children we are meant to care for when we put ourselves first?

Raising children is a big responsibility and it is a challenge to remain selfless. It is not always fun to act like the adult. When you have kids at a young age and those children get to a rebellious stage it is not always easy to handle the problems that arise with maturity and confidence. There has got to be a point when parents make a conscious choice to parent.

Parenting is the most important job that a person can have. A parent is responsible for teaching their children how to be respectable people, how to behave appropriately, how to prioritize correctly, how to deal with confrontations and challenges that come with life and most importantly how to get to heaven. If you do not teach your child how to enter the kingdom of God, you have failed. If you do not live a life that exemplifies those lessons, you have failed. If we don’t make it home, we have failed.

We have got to grow up and get right with God. Parents need to parent. We have to be able to see that selfish pleasures and needs in our own lives do not serve our children well. Be willing to be selfless. Be willing to change your ways and become a beacon of hope for your families. Children are a joy and such a gift. Let us learn to parent with the love of God and Jesus in our hearts and the devotion and commitment that our children deserve.

“Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.’” Luke 18:15-17 (NKJV).

Parents need to be parents.  Parenting is a choice to become selfless, not selfish, so that children can grow and become the generation of Christians that will be caring for aging generations to come.

The best day I ever spent was in continued prayer.  It left my spirit lighter, I felt like there was accomplishment in an otherwise lackluster kind of day, and it just felt plain good.  Prayer isn’t about asking for yourself, it is part of what Jesus taught to care about others….prayer for others is what we should be doing because we should do for others what we want done for us.  There simply isn’t enough prayer, and God does want to hear from us, from our heart.  It is a relationship that those who were found to be righteous in the eyes of God had:   Abraham, Job, Enoch, Elijah, Mary, Esther, Daniel, Moses and others….all of these individuals are recorded as having a full relationship with God through prayer that pleased God. 

Evil in this world is because of our free will, Pastor John Collins reminds us, just as Jesus taught during His ministry.  God gave us free will, as a good Father, He allows us to make our own choices in our lives.  He cares that much about us to allow us to choose instead of being robot-like creatures.  Evil is a product of individuals being selfish, self-serving, desiring power and recognition (Pastor John Collins, January, 2018).

“If God is so powerful, why does He allow bad things to happen? That is always a question for those who would deny that there is a God and would claim that if there was a God at all then He must not care about us and must not be all good as those who believe in His say. God gave men free will to live and choose to behave as they would have it and for that reason there will always be evil in this world. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3:19-21 (NKJV).

There is true evil in this world. We can look around and see it. Many people would like to ignore it, not be bothered by it, not have it touch their lives and just go about their business. Sometimes evil intrudes and we are shocked, hurt and want to question if there is a God at all. If God is so powerful, why does He allow bad things to happen? That is always a question for those who would deny that there is a God and would claim that if there was a God at all then He must not care about us and must not be all good as those who believe in His say. God gave men free will to live and choose to behave as they would have it and for that reason there will always be evil in this world. Evil is just selfish desires and power grabs manifested in this world. Evil is those choosing to lash out at others because of their own hurt. Evil is defiance and rebellion acted out in order to lift oneself up. Evil is petty and there will come a time when God chooses to step in and bring about further revelation to this world.

Some wait for God to act and some want to ignore the signs but while there is still yet time we should be praying for more light to shine in the darkness. Prayer is a powerful thing and God wants to hear from us, not just about our lives, our desires, our sicknesses and needs, our family and friends but about our hopes and thoughts regarding this world. Do you consider praying about those who suffer, the abused men, women and children? Do you pray for the weak? Do you pray that those who protect us are themselves protected? Do you pray that righteousness would make its way into the government? Do you pray that foreign nations would be strengthened in food and health to limit the depletion of your own country? Do you pray that revelation would come from God that would minimize the desire to blow each other up? There are people whose only desire is for more power, more money, more weapons and the opportunity to display it all for the world to see. There is evil in this world because some only care about themselves and they don’t value life or the gifts that come with it.

What so many have forgotten, failed to realize or choose to ignore is that the only true power in this world comes from God alone and all of the rest is an illusion. God is the one who has all of the strength and He really does want us to make the best choices available to us and sometimes people just don’t know what that is. Changing things in this world can start with hope and prayer. Change does need to come, more light needs to permeate the dark and more people need to wake up to the reality that things are changing and we need to change as well. We need more righteousness in this world, not more rebellion. Pray for that.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: THE GOVERNMENT-WE ARE GETTING WHAT WE ASKED FOR

Over two hundred years ago, this country was won and built in a revolution by the faith of men in God.  Those forefathers who laid the foundations of this country and its government based it upon their faith in God whom they knew and believed helped them win the war of independence against the then largest empire, Great Britain, and its well-trained army of skilled professional soldiers.  The odds were against us becoming the United States, but by God’s grace and certainly His desire, this country became the land of freedom for all. Pastor John Collins, Love That Cross Ministries, tells us our dilemma of today’s government and society is because we have kicked God out of everything, including our government.  Those founding fathers knew that the only reason the war was won was because it was God who blessed us.  Truly, just as Pastor John Collins says it, we have now turned our back on God, kicking Him out of school, family, churches, and the government.  It has been progressing to the point it has become over decades.  And no, just as Pastor John Collins says, God is not blessing this country.  Why would He right now?  We are getting exactly what we have asked for in our government.

“How can we complain about the bloated condition of our government when the people voted these politicians into the positions that they have? It is the people who raise up for themselves leaders who they believe will accomplish the goals that they have for themselves. When the majority of the populace is not godly themselves, then they will be governed by ungodly people. Our country is truly in a state of distress and the people are picking up cause after cause to rally behind, but, who is willing to say what the root of the cause of the condition is itself? I will. There is no faith here, no righteousness here and no godliness here that is in any majority of any group.” Pastor John Collins (March, 2018).

Pastor John Collins, evangelist, is the head pastor of Love That Cross Ministries and John Collins Ministries.  Pastor John Collins has been promoting a revival of hope and faith for many years.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been diluted with the desires of what people want to hear, with the Koolaid of prosperity doctrine, of wrong interpretation of the Holy Bible, and that Gospel of redemption now needs to be redeemed itself, says Pastor John Collins.   The only way we are going to turn this country around is to get on our knees to pray, to open the Bible and read it for ourselves instead of expecting someone to do it for us, and allow the beauty and love of God to fill us as it was meant to.  Salvation is still ours to claim, preaches Pastor John Collins, it hasn’t changed in more than 2000 years, but mankind has found ways to fill our own egos and greed on the back of the Man who died to save us from our sins, instead of focusing the purpose of the pulpit and preaching of the pastors on the Salvation of Jesus Christ and His singularly willing sacrifice to die for us so that we can have eternity to live instead of eternity to die.  That mindset has found its way into our government, and we the people put it there.  God has no reason to bless us, and until we make the change toward him, that won’t happen.  Pastor John Collins has the lifelong commitment to bring God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ back, to redeem that Gospel and help us found our salvation.

“And He said to me: ‘So of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel to this city.’” Ezekiel 11:2 (NKJV).

If you don’t like the decisions of the president then sue him. If you don’t like the decisions of the state then sue the state. If you don’t like the decisions of the school board then sue them. If you don’t like the rules then sue whoever it takes until the rules change. The people of this country have lost their way and have banished God from their lives, their homes, their schools and most important from their government. The polls will tell you that most politicians have a claim to Christianity but the truth is the fruit of the tree and these people are not bringing God into the decisions that they are making for our country. Just because you say you are of Christ does not mean that you are. When did we fall asleep at the wheel and allow ourselves to become disjointed, unruly and so micromanaged that nothing can be accomplished for the good? How did we allow ourselves to get so caught up in specific causes that we cannot see the forest for the trees? Where is God in this country? If we allow our lives to be barren of our faith then we will definitely heap up for ourselves those who will be blind leading the blind. It is not only our religious leaders that we must be willing to discern the righteousness of a man but it is our political leaders as well.

If you cannot see a solution to the complicated mess of a system that is out of control then let me enlighten you to what is needed. Get on your knees. Get a bible and open it and get right with God. It matters if you are justified in the eyes of the Lord and each household that is a light unto this world can create another and another. Be willing to stand for the truth of God and do not compromise on those standards. This world may call for abominations to be written into law, but you need to be willing to stand against the tide of the world for the righteousness of God. You may not think that it matters, but it does. Be willing to be a ripple of godliness in an ocean of sin and know that your efforts will be counted as good fruit. Do not be ignorant to the tests that enter your life through the corruption and sin perpetrated by those in positions of authority.

“Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming-in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning- lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” Mark 13:35-37 (NKJV).
