JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, LOVE THAT CROSS!! I CAN'T.

Even those who walked with Jesus, knew and saw the power of
God, faltered in the strength of belief~Pastor John Collins

How well Jesus Christ knows us.  The Bible relates the story of Thomas who would not, could not believe that Jesus was seen after His crucifixion.  Until he saw the marks of His hands and His side, he could not believe.  Jesus knew this of Thomas, just as He knows just what our weaknesses are.  How well John Collins, Evangelist and Pastor with John Collins Ministries relates this to us, to realize that even those who knew Jesus personally had challenges in their faith.

From John Collins Ministries:

Following the resurrection of Jesus, Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and He appeared unto them later that evening. Thomas was not with them at this appearing and when the other disciples told Thomas of seeing Jesus, he said, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” John 20:25 (NKJV).

Thomas walked with Jesus, saw the miracles and knew the power of God. He knew that Jesus would be resurrected and had been told many things prior to them happening. And yet, he doubted. He faltered in the strength of his belief. That did not stop Jesus from wanting him to be an apostle. Jesus always knew who would struggle with what. Jesus knew that Thomas would doubt and Jesus knows that each of us has within us weaknesses in our faith.

There are times when doubt will creep in and erode away at the confidence you feel. There are times when doubt may frustrate you and pull you away from your devotion to God. There are times when you may feel lost and empty, unable to hold on to your faith and hope, wanting the proof of the print of the nails. That doubt is where Satan attacks us the most, in our minds. We must be aware of the enemy and fight the good fight to stay in faith.

Thomas was given the opportunity to do so and when he had, he said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” John 20:28 (NKJV).

At those times of questions and avoidance you must ask yourself what matters to you. You must choose to seek what you hold on to and grab on with all you have got. All that is in this world is passing and what we have is only temporary. The truth of our souls is eternal and is encompassed in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the source of daily confidence and our faith in Him is our true connection to each other.

Struggles and doubts are not unusual and Jesus knows our every fear. He will help you overcome and stand firm in your faith. Yet, you have to make the choice of what you think on, you have to make an effort to keep your mind on things above and not on things that will tear you away from believing in heaven and your day to day life that will lead you there.

Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29 (NKJV).

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, LOVE THAT CROSS!! HOPE, FAITH, LOVE

Hope, faith, and love are the very foundations of Christianity~John Collins, Evangelist, John Collins Ministries

From John Collins Ministries:

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV).

We base our faith in belief. We believe that God has created the heavens and the earth as well as all of us in it. We believe that God has indeed performed the miracles that are written in the Holy Bible. We believe that God did indeed send Jesus Christ, His Son, to die on the cross for our sins so that we may be forgiven and have salvation and that He raised Him on the third day. We believe that Jesus performed all miracles, died, rose again to be seen and witnessed in the flesh and then was lifted into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. That is our faith, based in our belief.

We have hope because of our faith. We hope that our lives will be a testimony to the power of Jesus and the gospel. We hope because we trust that our salvation is sure and our place is in heaven. We hope because we know that this evil world cannot touch us. We hope because we know that we are comforted by the Lord. We hope in our future because we know that it will be better than our lives here on earth if we are obedient to Christ. We hope because we believe.

We love because we are meant to. We love because we are made in the image of God and have been gifted with the capacity to feel and share our love with our Creator, our Savior and each other. We love because we are blessed and know it. We love because we have the perfect teacher who has instructed us and given us the most perfect example of love.

Our faith, our hope and our love are meant to make up the foundations of our lives. We obey and choose to submit to the will of God because we have faith in Him, we hope because of Him and we love because of Him. We must make every effort to nurture these qualities inside of ourselves, our families and our lives. These are the good and with these things to hold on to, there is nothing that can crush us, defeat us or overtake us. We are strong in the Lord. We are capable in the Lord. We are Christians!

Hold on the Jesus, hold on to your faith, hold on to your hope and hold on to your love. It is worth it to trust in Him, to seek Him and to obey Him. He will hold on to you and you will be well.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29 (NKJV).

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, LOVE THAT CROSS: BATTLE WITHIN

Pastor John Collins writes:

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lords’; But the earth He has given to the children of men.” Psalm 115:16 (NKJV).

Be charitable, kin, forgiving, passionate; as you go about
these things you will have to battle your own demons.
Pastor John Collins
God has given you life and you need to enjoy it. As you walk the path that leads to righteousness, you will face many situations that make you realize that it is a battle not just outside in the world and with those you encounter but also within yourself. God wants you to fight the good fight. God wants you to seek to please Him and to do the right thing in life. Be charitable, be good, be kind, be forgiving, be loving and compassionate toward others. As you go about doing these things you will have to battle your own demons. We all have them. We all think of the easy path, the shortcut and the darker temptations in life and it is that battle that you must encounter each day.

So, what are you fighting for? Is it just to get to heaven? That narrow focus can make a person crazy, burn out or just give up. If you cannot see that life has meaning, that you can enjoy life then it is easy to lose your way and fall off the path of the faithful. You have to take the time to live, to feel really alive and to acknowledge that your life is a blessing for all of the struggle. What makes you feel alive? Is it standing in the rain, walking on a beach, riding on a four-wheeler in your swimsuit in the middle of winter surrounded by snow, or maybe it’s a candlelight dinner with your most special someone followed by a dance? Whatever gives you pause and delights your soul is what you should take the time to do. It does not have to be often and it does not have to be so planned that the moment gets lost but you should be looking for those moments in your life that become the memories that you prize. You will take those with you because they belong to you forever.

In your day to day life you may feel run down and overwhelmed with the mundane. In your day to day life you may become discouraged. You need to allow yourself those special moments where you catch your breath and you even need to make the effort to recognize the moments that you have already had and seek out more. That is what you are fighting for in your faith. You see, heaven is full of joy and people who feel that intense awareness of love and hope and happiness every day. You will never truly seek to become a righteous person if you don’t believe in that promise and in order to truly believe in the promise you need to trust and believe in God. It is easy to believe in the truth of God when you can glimpse joy in its perfection in experiences in your life that touch your soul and become engraved on your heart. That is a blessing from God and you should never underestimate His greatness and your connection to Him.

“May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.  May you be blessed by the Lord who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 115:14-15 (NKJV).

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, LOVE THAT CROSS: OLD TESTAMENT

From Pastor John Collins, Evangelist:

Do not take salvation for granted!
Pastor John Collins, Evangelist
Do not take your faith or your salvation for granted.  The Old Testament in the Holy Bible gives detailed history of the struggles and failures of the Jewish people in their faith and obedience to God.  God brought Jesus Christ to teach and show the Jews, the chosen people, the right way of worship and obedience, and still the Jewish people failed.  The beauty of Jesus Christ, salvation and the hope in God has been shown to those who are not Jews, with the same gifts of hope from God.  Do not take it for granted, as Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries writes.

From Pastor John Collins, Evangelist:

“You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.’  Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear.  For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” Romans 11:19-21 (NKJV).

Why is the Old Testament relevant? It is there to teach you how God deals with His people. As believers in Jesus Christ, you must know what is expected of you in your relationship with God and in order to know this you are to become knowledgeable in how He dealt with the Jews who are the natural branches of the olive tree, while you are of the wild olive tree.

There is a need to recognize the mistakes that the Jewish people made in their relationship with God so that you do not make the same ones. Do not become overconfident in your faith but always maintain reverence and awe in your contemplation of the Lord. Do not become too caught up in making money and gaining financial success that you forget the basics of your faith. Do not forget to tend to your heart and mind daily and to pray your way through life.

There are just too many people that do not put in any real effort or consistent effort toward getting into heaven but just assume that they are going there. Don’t take Jesus for granted but work your butt off to do as He has told you to do.

Never walk through life with any conceit because you know that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and you believe in Him but have humility and pity for those that have yet to come to that knowledge and be willing to live a life that shines for Jesus so that others may come to the cross because of you.

“Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.” Romans 11:22 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: NEVER ASSUME

From John Collins Ministries:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:5-7 (NKJV).

Desire the pure and good with all your heart~
Pastor John Collins
There has been many a preacher to make a pretty penny with these words and to guide many a soul in the wrong direction. Jesus is not on stand-by to do our bidding and God is not waiting to fulfill our wish lists.

Jesus could easily say to His disciples and apostles these words because they all understood that once you truly belong to Jesus and believe in the gospel and the power of the Cross, you would not ask amiss. Jesus knows that those that have obtained righteousness will ask those things that the bible instructs and that God approves of.

When you seek the kingdom of heaven with all of your heart and you come to love God with everything that you are then you begin to desire things that are pure and good and will only benefit your faith and the faith of those you know and also don’t know. You will look at this world differently and upon meeting people or interacting with others you will pay attention to the small details that will let you know if their faith is strong or not and you will listen to what they say and it will guide you in your prayers for them. You should desire that others get to heaven and that you obtain righteousness so that you are a shining light in this world working for Jesus.

Never assume that you have done enough and never assume that you are pure enough. If you are always working to please God and to purify yourself then you will always be gaining more faith and more wisdom. Your life is a journey and as you come to know more you can share more. Be willing to desire good for others and not only yourself.

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.” John 15:8-9 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: THE MOST CIVILIZED PLACE

FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: BIBLE DEBATE AND RELEVANCE

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: The Bible is the source to measure
our lives, our works, our faith

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV).

Did God really create the earth, heavens, animals and us in just six days? Did Lot’s wife really turn into a pillar of salt? Did Jonah really get swallowed by a big fish? Is the bible believable? What about slavery, the treatment of women and is God just a big ole meanie?

I must say that Satan is working hard and has claimed so many. The debates that take place about the bible, the truth of God and the relevance of the bible is just amazing. You have so many atheists and haters of God arguing that God is mean and the bible is myth.

None of these current non-believers were there in the beginning when God was creating this world and they would benefit from reading Job. We do not know exactly how long those first six days were because we do not know how long a day was then. I know that the Bible speaks the truth and I know that God is the Creator and Father of us all. I believe that Lot’s wife did turn into a pillar of salt and that if there is not any understanding as to why and what lessons are provided in the telling of that story then it should be read again and again but I will say that disobedience and a longing for this world were a part of her character. I do believe that Jonah got swallowed by a big fish and I know that it was a foreshadowing of Jesus’ time in the ‘tomb’ which was when He descended into the lower parts of this earth to preach to those who slept.

I believe that slavery has been a part of humanity since the beginning of time and just because we believe ourselves ‘civilized’ does not mean that it does not still occur in this world or that it will not be seen again by those who believe that it is a thing of the past. There are instructions in the bible to honor women and to respect them just as there are instructions for the men to be respected as well but the one that deserves the most honor and the glory is God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

There will be naysayers and non-believers that will try to undermine your faith by preaching their philosophy of civilization and education but I know that the most civilized place with the most educated souls reside in heaven and it is the blessing of the believer to be permitted to enter those heavenly gates upon their death.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.” 2 Timothy 2:15-16 (NKJV).

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, LOVE THAT CROSS: TATTOOS!!?!

EVANGELIST JOHN COLLINS~Lord have mercy....

Recently, Evangelist John Collins of John Collins Ministries posted a short comment about tattoos on his John Collins Ministries Fan Page:
“Lord have mercy, someone just sent me a message and said I cannot be Pastor or a CHRISTIAN because I have tattoos. Let me think, lol. People all have opinions about everything.  Why don’t you worry about the state of the world, about how we need to gather as a country and be strong, TOGETHER, And how we need to STOP pimping out JESUS and GOD for money.

And as far as me, Me and my Tattoos will continue to GLORIFY GOD in everything I do, And honestly I really could care less how you feel about me, I CARE ABOUT WHAT GOD THINKS OF ME NOT MAN. PASTOR JOHN COLLINS”
This pretty much sums up the blunt, no nonsense, straightforward attitude and presence of evangelist, Pastor John Collins.  There are so many things wrong with church doctrine taught today in the churches and pulpits across the United States, and what we care about and what we focus on instead of the Cross and the salvation that Jesus offers, through grace, the truth is lost in petty hypocrisies, judgement, greed, and so much more.  We need to get it right, for ourselves and our country.

FROM JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES:

“And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelations 19:16 (NKJV).

The issue with tattoos is whether or not you honor God;
they can be a testimony to your past
and a witness for others~Pastor John Collins (para.)

Tattoos are taboo, right? Wrong!! There have been “religious” debates over the topic of tattoos for years and years. There has been so much misinterpretation on this subject. I approach not only the bible but also life with common sense and with the goal of understanding things from God’s perspective. With that goal in mind, I try to gain knowledge of the lesson in the words that were written down for our benefit and apply them with common sense to life. Seems simple, right?
The Leviticus text (Leviticus 19:28) that was written to instruct the Israelites not to mark their bodies with cuttings or tattoos was told to them so that they would not to do so in honor of the dead. Idolatry was a problem then and it is a problem now. With so many people seeking psychics and mediums today, you can see that the human desire for connection to those that we have lost to death remains. Those that lived prior to Jesus did not know that He was their mediator to God and also did not know for certain what happened to those souls that passed on.
God made it clear that they were not to worship the dead nor ask for them to “intercede” on their behalf. They were not to seek necromancers nor sorcerers and witches or seers. There have always been people who get caught up in idolizing those that have gone before them such as a child idolizing a parent and vice versa or a people idolizing a leader. God was giving instructions to His people about how to worship Him and honor Him. A very necessary lesson was to establish the most important law which was a forbidding of idolatry which included marking anyone’s body in honor of the dead. It was no different than forbidding any altars being made for false gods.
Now, Jesus, in Revelations is seen with a mark upon His thigh. It is written. It is obvious to me that the issue of tattoos and forbidding of marking the body is about idolatry and not the tattoo itself. I, personally, have tattoos and love them. I do not believe that God wants to deny us personal expression nor choices about whether we want to put ink in our skin. He wants us to be aware of our choices of artistic representation and what it means to us and to our souls. Personally, I love that Cross and I have crosses tattooed on my arms which fills me with strength, confidence and love knowing that Jesus died on that Cross for all.
We are never to place anyone or anything above our Lord and Savior nor our Father in heaven. We are to worship in spirit and truth. Yet, we are individuals and many choose to cover their bodies in permanent art and text. There needs to be less judgment and more understanding of the purpose of the forbidding laws that are in the bible. If we could just look at the lessons and make the effort to see things as God sees them then we would be better equipped to have knowledge and understanding in this world which would translate to tolerance and love for others without judging them.
“From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Galatians 6:17 (NKJV).

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES, LOVE THAT CROSS!! LOVING KINDNESS

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS:  Compassion, fruit of the spirit

We are not meant to walk through this life alone.  “No man is an island” is truth.  Learning to accept and receive help and kindness is a life-long long process.

Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries says “Do not let your pride deny others of their opportunity to serve God by helping you. Do not lean too heavily in either direction so that you do not become a burden nor defensive…. This is true for all aspects of our lives. We will go through situations in our lives that will bring us low and sting our pride. We will go through times of being lifted up that will challenge our egos and tempt our pride. Both sides of this coin is needed to test our faith and teach us the ways of God. We must be able to become humble. It is not worth it to hang on to your ego or to cling to your stubborn pride. Be done with it and let it go because it will never serve you well. In order to enter the kingdom of heaven we must allow God to stomp our pride in the dirt. Be willing to welcome that huge piece of humble pie” (April, 2018).

By Pastor John Collins:

“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, excercising lovingkindness, judgment and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NKJV).

“Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.” Proverbs 3:3-4 (NKJV).

A kind person with a kind heart will do kind things for others. Mercy and compassion will drive a person to be considerate of others and to take the time to help others out. Thoughtfulness comes in so many different ways. It can be helping out a friend to move, getting groceries for an elderly neighbor, helping someone change a tire, giving a few dollars to the homeless or it could be taking the time to hear out your son or daughter which will give them the confidence in your relationship to learn to act with maturity and transparency.

Jesus has said that we should love one another. He gave us perfect examples for doing so. What happens when we deny another the opportunity to help us when it is our time? Our pride can stand in the way of our path to heaven. To everything there is a season and time. As we go through life, we will not always be in a position of helping others. We will come to a time or times in our lives when we should be accepting the help of others. You see, this is important in our faith. God will bring people into our lives that will further the faith of both parties. Sometimes you are the helper and sometimes you are the helped.

Each of us cannot stand alone. We were never meant to. It is a give and take in this life. We need to learn to be compassionate and kind as well as learn to be accepting of that same compassion and kindness when we need to. Our bodies are deteriorating all of the time. You cannot expect a 70 year old woman to move her household furniture by herself. She has passed the age of being able to do so. The Levites that took care of the tabernacle did so from the ages of 30-50 years. Their strength was greatest during these years and their service was limited to that time. There are seasons in all of our lives of physical strength and those seasons do pass. Do not let your pride deny others of their opportunity to serve God by helping you. Do not lean too heavily in either direction so that you do not become a burden nor defensive.

Be willing to welcome that huge piece of humble pie. Gobble it up and ask for more!

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: HEALING A HEART

JOHN COLLINS MINISTRIES: A LOVE THAT CHANGES US

“Open the eyes of my heart” is a popular Christian song and it holds a lesson that Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries teaches in a recent message.  Consider closely what it is that you ask for when you consider your faith, your heart, your sin, and your path to heaven.  It’s how we get to our real final destination; we work on that here in this life, says Pastor John Collins.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21 (NKJV).

We know the story; that Jesus suffered for us, that He died for us, that He was separated from God for us, that He was buried and that He rose again. We know that Jesus is our Savior and that the work was completed by Him as our propitiation. What can Jesus do for you now? There are many who pray for healing, for financial liberation, for love, happiness and so many things that should never come first in a person’s life. So, what can Jesus do for you, if you are willing to ask?

Jesus can deliver you from sin. You will say, He already did that by dying on the cross for us. No. Jesus died so that you are able to be forgiven, but that will not keep you from sinning in your life. Jesus will deliver you from your fleshly desires, will teach you obedience to God’s Commandments, will open the Scriptures for you and will give you knowledge. Jesus will teach you submission, take you from anger and hate to forgiveness and love. Jesus will guide you into compassion and hope, peace and simplicity. Jesus will help you to become willing to see this life as it should be seen, fleeting, a test, a joy and full of complications that can hinder your path to heaven. Jesus will heal your heart and your mind and teach you to look up to our true Father and Creator and to allow the things of this world to pass from your life. Jesus will help you to let go, to stop living in fear, to trust in the Lord. Jesus will come to you and love you.

You have to learn to pray for the right things, to desire the things of God and not the things of this world. You have to open your heart to desiring to spend the time it takes to truly get to know how God desires to be worshiped and you have to learn to listen to the truth that is given to you. Jesus will help you to grow in faith, to become a light to others and to overcome sin. It is not enough that He died for you, now you must learn to live for Him. It is not enough to believe in Him, now you must honor Him by dying to sin and denying yourself the passions of the flesh that will empty your soul and corrupt you. Jesus will be there for you, will strengthen you and if you are genuine in your gratefulness and genuine in your desire to belong to Him, He will not forsake you. Allow yourself to be willing to be convicted in what you must release and ask Jesus to deliver you from those burdens. Jesus is willing, are you?

“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:10-11 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

Believing in Jesus is the first step, and He is most certainly willing to reach us, teach us and help us lose what we need to in order to live for Him.

Pastor John Collins is changing the face of Christianity through John Collins Ministries. His dedication to preaching the truth, what we need to hear, not what we want to hear is immeasurable.  Reminding us to compare and look at the Bible as reference, Pastor John Collins illustrates that we have the very same divisions, issues, problems that the early Church experienced after Jesus was crucified.  The church was not to be a divided church, preaching this doctrine this way, and that doctrine that way.  Pastor John Collins takes his listeners back to the original intentions of the words written by those who knew and walked with Jesus, who experienced the miracle of His resurrection and His Gospel.  John Collins Ministries is redeeming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It’s time for a change.  Pastor John reaches multitudes each Sunday on Heaven’s Country Radio at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Mountain Time and other AM and FM radio stations across the nation.  The message is always one of promise and salvation, preaching the Gospel and teaching us in a way that few have experienced in recent decades.  The message Pastor Collins presents is one that we all need to hear to make the choices we need to make in order to go home to God and Jesus Christ.

If you wish to reach Pastor John Collins, you can do so through his email at jcollinsministries@gmail.com. He is available for prayer, for conversations, for ministry, and if you wish, he is available for guest speaking and engagement for revivals.  Pastor John Collins is truly in it to win it for God.

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: FAILURE

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS:  BEAUTY IN FAILURES

If you listen to pastors that are on the pulpit in the public eye, these men and women would have you believe that God is an all loving God who is there to simply answer prayers in return for your belief, that you don’t need to change yourself, that once you’re saved, you’re always saved.  “They don’t teach to look to the Bible for the examples that God gives” preaches Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries. The Holy Bible is full of examples of liars, cheaters, doubters, bribery, theft, and simple human failure.  We are HUMAN, and the Bible tells of HUMANS who went through the very same things we face now, only thousands of years ago.  As Solomon said in Ecclesiastes, there is nothing new under the sun.

“There is a beauty in knowing the failures of those that have been faithful to God. You are not expected to be perfect from the start, but are meant to work toward perfection as you seek righteousness through Jesus. Humans are flawed and weak. Humans need to learn to seek the good and refuse the bad. In order to do that, you must learn what sin is, how to react to it and how to avoid it, but you must also learn how to acknowledge it in yourself so that you can seek to be convicted in your soul and choose to repent and change and grow in faith and obedience to God. A child does not learn to do anything without trial and error, failure and correction.” Pastor John Collins, April, 2018.

We are not meant to sweep sin under the rug.  Sin is not to be sugar coated or justified.  Sin is meant to be talked about in the pulpit, because as Paul put it, the wages of sin is death….hell. Pastor John Collins calls out those pastors (as the apostle Paul says to do in 2 Timothy) who deny Hell, who refuse to preach the truth, who refuse to teach that while God is Love, He is also Wrath, and He wants us to learn to not sin. We are meant to acknowledge it, repent-meaning change our ways from it-and seek forgiveness Pastor John Collins goes on to say.  When we fully turn to God and His Son Jesus Christ, They begin the process of teaching and refining us, placing tests and trials in front of us.  Our free will is what will likely get in our way as we stumble through in our efforts of trial and error.  God will teach us, Jesus will help us on our way, and the outcome is a soul that God and Jesus will want in heaven.  God will correct us.  God will challenge us. As Pastor John Collins says “never blame God. He puts us through it to see us through it.”  That is there in the Holy Bible, from the Psalms of David and the reflections of Solomon in Ecclesiastes, to the books of Peter.  The individuals who were recorded in the Bible are flawed, just like we are.  They struggled, just like we do. The voice of God and the words of Jesus are there to guide through the “it” that we face as we learn to walk the talk of being Christian.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,  Nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.” Proverbs 3:11-12 (NKJV).

Abraham lied about Sarah being his wife, Isaac did the same thing, Jacob stole Esau’s blessing although Esau sold his birthright, the brothers of Joseph intended to kill him but ended up faking his death and selling him into slavery, Moses struck the rock, Aaron bungled waiting for Moses and jumped into idolatry followed by lying, David orchestrated murder after committing adultery and Solomon stumbled with women and idolatry, Peter denied Christ and Thomas doubted. The bible is not shy about including the faults, weaknesses and sins of the men that were instrumental in creating the story of Israel, of God and His plan for salvation for us through His Son. The flaws of humanity are not meant to be whitewashed and swept under the rug. We are not meant to lie about sin, but are meant to acknowledge it, repent of it and seek forgiveness for it.

There is a beauty in knowing the failures of those that have been faithful to God. A child does not learn to do anything without trial and error, failure and correction.

You will stumble in this life and you will fail. You will also grow in strength and learn to avoid the pitfalls and navigate the path of the righteous. It is your effort that God wants and believe me, He knows who is making the effort. Never think that you are unforgiveable, unlovable or undesirable by God. God wants you to choose Him, seek Him and stop making excuses. Although He does expect you to falter, He also expects you to learn. Begin by getting to know His word, His laws and become submissive to His will. Do not avoid God because you think yourself not worthy, but do not take His grace for granted either. Be encouraged by the examples found in the bible and be willing to humble yourself before the Lord and welcome the correction that comes from His hand.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

Pastor John Collins is leading a revival across the United States that has been gathering more momentum in the past few months.  From Heaven’s Country Radio at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time on Sundays, to AM and FM stations across the nation, even reaching North Korea Uruguay, Paraguay, Russia, Tunisia, and around the world Pastor John Collins is spreading the word of God and redeeming the Gospel.  New television channels, films, interviews and more are on the horizon from Pastor John Collins and John Collins Ministries. The word of God and the Christian faith has been twisted over the lifetime of mankind.  Pastor John Collins is here to bring God back to everyone, in truth.  Pastor John Collins will not preach what you want to hear, Pastor John Collins will preach and teach what you need to hear.

Pastor John Collins is down to earth and he will be the first to tell you he did not begin life with the goal of becoming a preacher.   He wanted money and everything that came with it.  God found Pastor John Collins, not the other way around.  Pastor John Collins so frequently says he was “so far from the Cross, I needed binoculars to see it.  Now I get splinters in my hands from it!”  This world needs hope, and that is what God is giving everyone, a chance at hope, because the guy in the trailer is the same as the guy in the mansion in God’s eyes, and it is time for someone to lead a change, a revival.  Pastor John says “It’s time to do it right, to not be ‘another one of them’”, referring to those who use the pulpit for their personal gain and recognition. Pastor Collins forthrightly says it is time to use the pulpit to bring God to the people, and the people to the Cross and the salvation that is offered by the sacrifice of Jesus. Pastor John Collins and John Collins Ministries is here to help, to give a hand up, not a hand out.

You can read posts on Twitter and Facebook from Pastor John Collins, other blogs, interviews and recordings linked within this blog.  Pastor John Collins is also available for revival, preaching, and guest speaking and he can be reached through his email at jcollinsministries@gmail.com.
