PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, EVANGELIST: AMBITION

Pastor John Collins writes:

“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:21 (NKJV).

Ambition is a beast that is wily and cruel, hard to kill and like a fire that consumes without mercy can be seemingly impossible to put out. There is a rotten seed that finds fertile ground in the hearts of ambitious people that chokes out any good seed that may have been planted alongside the bad. When you study the history of this world, the history of Israel, the history of the church and the history of our nation you will find ambition trampling over decency, destroying knowledge and removing all barriers that stand it its way. How do you control a people? You dominate them, you deny them true knowledge and you limit their power and resources in order to keep them beneath you. Think of the poor of this world, the women who have been denied the honor that God intended for them, the holocaust victims, slaves of all nations and all colors and all throughout history up to this very day, as well as the masses of too many countries that are suffering because of the battles of those who would seek to feed their ambition all while they wrap up the cause and justification in persuasive arguments.

Equal opportunity is not equal anywhere at any time in history; not even today. The ‘church’ was built by denying the masses the word of God for themselves. There was a time that bibles were not available or legal for the masses and the church made every effort to keep the Holy Scriptures in Latin and deny the common man to come to know the word of God without the interference and instruction of a ‘priest’. The ‘church’ held too much power and was corrupt due to the ambition of man. Is it any wonder why there was rebellion, reform and protestation? Women used to be denied schooling and many boys as well. When you take away the basic needs of man then you will in time have civil unrest on your hands. Reform comes because it is needed and yet history keeps repeating itself for all of the knowledge that is today so easily achieved and taken for granted.

Ambition leads men to cause the destruction of many in order to further their own power. Institutions that are headed by those who have collaborated in order to consolidate their power and further the ambitions of those in charge are no less prominent today than they ever have been. It seems that we have come full circle. God brings revelation and men use that revelation to further their own power over men which leads to corruption that brings about further revelation from God which perpetuates the cycle. Here we are, looking back at a past that is shameful and full of destruction, looking around and seeing that things have not changed at all and looking ahead for God’s revelations to come.

We must be honest about the ambition of man, whether it is in those running our country, our corporations or our churches. We must be able to see through the illusion of power; for all power on earth is merely temporary and is but a fool’s fantasy of truth. We must look to the creator of our lives and choose to become knowledgeable in His word so that we may choose for ourselves whether we want to be obedient servants or not. We cannot allow the ambition of others to poison our desire for a true relationship with God. We cannot allow the ambition of others to deny us our rightful inheritance of salvation which was purchased on the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ. There will always be ambitious men who soil the reality of our environments and we must search diligently for our faith within ourselves and trust that for all of the ambitions of greedy people they will be brought low, whether in this life or the next and it is our duty to see to the humility of our own souls and not allow any seeds that are rotten to be fertilized in our own hearts.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, LOVE THAT CROSS: HATE THE SIN, NOT THE SINNER

Pastor John Collins, Evangelist: God's not an enabler

We are a generation of enablers.

God does have mercy, grace, and longsuffering, as said by Pastor John Collins of John Collins Ministries and Love That Cross Ministries, but He does not reward sin. We enable others to continue in their actions of self-destruction when we don’t take a stand as Christians, when we allow ourselves to continue a path of self-righteousness and stubborn pride, when we make excuses for our actions and rebel against the very Word that Jesus taught over two millennia ago. Pastor John Collins it is time to get things right.

“It is time to stop making excuses by just saying that we are all sinners because Jesus knows, God knows and every sinner knows that they can do better, be better and can influence others to do the same. Righteousness is very achievable in life and begins with humility and a willingness to sacrifice. Each person chooses their destination in the end and it is necessary that the standards of God begin to be met because there has been too much loss of souls already and it just doesn’t have to be that way.” Pastor John Collins, May 2018.

We are not meant to sweep sin under the rug.  Sin is not to be sugar coated or justified.  Sin is meant to be talked about in the pulpit, because as Paul put it, the wages of sin is death….hell.

Pastor John Collins writes:

Hate the sin and not the sinner is all well and good to do but a sinner who continues in his sin without repentance and submission to the will of God through the salvation of Christ will eventually be judged as an enemy of God.

It has become easy to say that Jesus was the only perfect one and therefore there could never be any expectation for anyone else to live up to those standards although Jesus Himself said to be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect. It has also been noted that Jesus would be hanging out with the sinners and not with the righteous if He were to be here today and although that is true He definitely would not be hanging out with them to condone their sin but to heal them and to help lead them to righteousness in order to provide them with salvation.

Salvation does not come packaged with an acceptance of sin. God may have mercy and love for His people but He definitely does not have an enabling heart and He does not reward rebellion. He is slow to wrath and longsuffering but eventually His perfect and righteous judgment will fall on all and everyone will receive what they deserve.

It is time to stop making excuses by just saying that we are all sinners because Jesus knows, God knows and every sinner knows that they can do better, be better and can influence others to do the same. Righteousness is very achievable in life and begins with humility and a willingness to sacrifice.

Each person chooses their destination in the end and it is necessary that the standards of God begin to be met because there has been too much loss of souls already and it just doesn’t have to be that way. It matters what you do here on earth and it is possible to go to heaven, you just have to want that more than you want to enjoy your existence while you are here and you have to want to obey God and know that He is right more than you have to want to be right yourself.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS, PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

Pastor John Collins is leading a revival across the United States that has been gathering more momentum in the past few months.  From Heaven’s Country Radio at 10 a.m. and now at 6 p.m. Mountain Time on Sundays with Marty Smith, to AM and FM stations across the nation, even reaching North Korea, Pastor John Collins is spreading the word of God and redeeming the Gospel.  New television channels, films, interviews and more are on the horizon from Pastor John Collins and John Collins Ministries. The word of God and the Christian faith has been twisted over the lifetime of mankind.  Pastor John Collins is here to bring God back to everyone, in truth.  Pastor John Collins will not preach what you want to hear, Pastor John Collins will preach and teach what you need to hear.

Pastor John Collins is down to earth and he will be the first to tell you he did not begin life with the goal of becoming a preacher.   He wanted money and everything that came with it.  God found Pastor John Collins, not the other way around.  Pastor John Collins so frequently says he was “so far from the Cross, I needed binoculars to see it.  Now I get splinters in my hands from it!”  This world needs hope, preaches Pastor John Collins, and that is what God is giving everyone, a chance at hope, because the guy in the trailer is the same as the guy in the mansion in God’s eyes, and it is time for someone to lead a change, a revival.  Pastor John says “It’s time to do it right, to not be ‘another one of them’”, referring to those who use the pulpit for their personal gain and recognition. Pastor Collins forthrightly says it is time to use the pulpit to bring God to the people, and the people to the Cross and the salvation that is offered by the sacrifice of Jesus. Pastor John Collins and John Collins Ministries is here to help, to give a hand up, not a hand out.

You can read posts on Twitter and Facebook from Pastor John Collins. Pastor John Collins, Love That Cross: Get right with GOD

Pastor John Collins: Claim your Grace....

Pastor John Collins of Love That Cross Ministries and Pastor John Collins Ministries writes another compelling and thought provoking post about obedience and growing our faith in God.  Jesus Christ was sent over 2000 years ago to teach the people how to worship God, clarified the law, and what was necessary to get right with God….and that is done with humility and humbleness preaches Pastor John Collins.

In a recent broadcast, Pastor John Collins commented that if you say you are a Christian, it’s time right now, to get on your knees and pray, repent your sins, seek forgiveness and the gift of salvation that was offered on that Cross by Jesus’ sacrifice.  Every one of us is a sinner, including himself, says Pastor John Collins, and he gets on his knees each night, asks for forgiveness, and asks if he handled every situation correctly to glorify God, which is what God is looking for in worship, to glorify Him, to thank Him, to be obedient to Him.  Each day is an opportunity to get right, to get it better with God, Pastor Collins goes on to say.  Christians need to represent, to stand tall and live exemplary lives, to show that we live by the standards of Christ.  Pastors who are in the pulpit who say they are better, who have sexual relations with the congregation members, who are obsessed with success and money and more, are the hypocrites who have given Christianity a bad name, we are to be proclaiming and acting our faith, to represent for Christ, just as the disciples learned at the foot of Jesus Christ (Pastor John Collins, paraphrased). No matter what you have been through, God wants you home with Him, to come to Him in humbleness, seeking forgiveness.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” John 6:45 (NKJV).

The teachings of Jesus were insightful and revealed the heart of the law. He came with miracles and truth and compassion and mercy. He came with clarity and sadness for the people. It is sad to see people refuse to get right with God, to see people rebel in their hearts and choose their own will over God’s will.

It is sad to watch people choose to be sinners and choose to harm others to lift themselves up. Believe me, there is still plenty today for Jesus to weep over.

Our world is filled with people choosing to self-govern and claim rational thought for themselves and believing that there is no God, that their own moral code will sustain them and see them through this life and that there is no cause to concern themselves with an eternal life. There are people on the pulpits sharing the good news without teaching the requirements of being a follower of Christ. There are stubborn people who choose to believe that there is not a right or a wrong way to worship God and that we get to self-determine our God and how we navigate our faith in our life and have concluded that by doing so we will enjoy the outcome that we have decided upon. It doesn’t work that way! God came and gave instructions on how to worship Him. Jesus came and gave insight into the law and gave instructions on how to worship Him. Nothing has changed.

Grace is given and faith is free but obedience is required to claim them. You cannot claim to be a person of faith and have fellowship with God when you are living a life of selfishness and unfaithfulness. If you are a greedy, lying, cheating, vain, malicious, gossiper and drunk then you are not obeying God. If you are full of bitterness and resentment and refuse to forgive those who you believe have done you wrong then you are not in obedience with God. If you are consumed with materialism and are obsessed with your looks and your appearance then you are not in obedience with God. If you are abusing drugs and your body and are not a believer then you are not in obedience with God. If you are not in obedience with God then you will not see the kingdom of heaven when you die. It really is that simple.

You must obey God to claim the gifts of God. Salvation is claimed by those who believe because those who believe will submit to the will of God and will obey God. I am not talking about casual belief but the belief that produces results in a life, belief that produces change and purity in a life and belief that transforms a life of darkness into one of light. There is always an opportunity to truly claim Jesus as your savior, not in word only but in truth. You know whether your life is truly a life that would have God’s stamp of approval and there is just no reason to live in denial. There is not any time to waste on self-indulgence and sin. It is time to examine your existence and if you are not right with God then it is time to get right with Him. Believe in the Son and claim salvation.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:5-6 (NKJV).

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS LOVE THAT CROSS

Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” there is no other way to get close to God, the sacrifice He made on the Cross justifies us before God preaches Pastor John Collins.  In order for us to find our way to God is to believe in the Son, seek forgiveness, repent of sins with a contrite heart-a humble heart-and declare Jesus as our Savior from the sins of this world.  Believing in Jesus means we are willing to learn to become what He taught His disciples, to care for one another.  It is so easy, but it is something we make hard for ourselves because we fight giving up what we see and feel in this world-the “if it feels good do it” generation is the complete opposite of what God expects from us.

Pastor John Collins tells us we all can do better.  We need to go to church and get some truth….Jesus was crucified so we could be justified, and we need to get on our knees and repent, every day.  Pastor John Collins is the first to say that he knows he is a sinner, and that he will get on his knees, ask for forgiveness every day.  At the end of the day, Pastor John Collins says he gets on his knees and asks God “did I handle every situation today correctly to glorify You?”  Each day is an opportunity to get it right, to get better.

Salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ, preaches Pastor John Collins.  It is the effort to turn away from sin, to not be like the world, to seek guidance from Jesus in everything that we do – Pastor John Collins, Spring, 2018.

Pastor John Collins is recognized as an inspirational pastor living in the United States and has received awards as Evangelist of the Year from across the globe.  Interviews, radio programming, sermons, blogs, news articles, and Youtube recordings of Pastor John Collins can be accessed by clicking on the links found within this post.  Pastor John Collins posts daily thoughts and devotions on Facebook and TwitterPastor John Collins preaches weekly from the heart on Heaven’s Country Radio, www.heavenscountry.com at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time.  Pastor John Collins preaches with passion:  Pastor John Collins is not about a popularity contest, Pastor Collins says he would rather have people hate him for what he says rather than to be loved and tell people what they want to hear.  This is not about the pastor, says Pastor John Collins, it is about Jesus Christ and our chance at salvation and getting back to God.  Pastor John Collins can be reached by email at jc65777@yahoo.com for ministry, prayer and positive conversation.  Pastor John Collins is also available for revival and guest speaking.

Pastor John Collins says it is time for a change, he is in it to win it for God.

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS, LOVE THAT CROSS: FIGHT THE FIGHT

PASTOR JOHN COLLINS: HANG TOUGH

How can we be strong in a world of violence?  We have wars, threatened wars, suicides, hatred, aggression, and disasters of nature that take away everything we own.  What do we do?  Pastor John Collins of Love that Cross and  John Collins Ministries has the answer. Trust Jesus.  It’s a simple answer that has been available to us for over two thousand years.  Salvation is the free gift that God has given us, with forgiveness and a chance at eternal life once we are done with life here.  But living is tough, right?  There’s crime and drugs and death in the media.  Terrorists threaten.  Across the world, attempts on our faith and our stifling our hope push at us as believers.  Jesus and God are bigger.  Much bigger, and all it takes is to accept that They are real and make Them your own.

“Be cautious in this world, take nothing for granted and call on Jesus daily for strength, courage and discernment. Be willing to fight the good fight, to run the race of your life and be prepared to receive the prize.” Pastor John Collins, April 2018.

There are those who preach the wrong doctrine, challenging us to discern the truth with our hearts and the Bible. Liberal society would like Christians to accept fake doctrine, that God has changed, that Jesus isn’t who He is.  It is a time of change.  It is a time for change.

Pastor John Collins writes:

“But who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. ‘And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.’” 1 Peter 3:13-14 (NKJV).

When Jesus walked this earth 2 millennia ago, He gave warnings of how things would be before He returned, before any further revelation would come from God and it is our job to be strong as many prophecies come to pass. These are trying times for the believer and there are many enemies of God that would attempt to undermine your faith in any way possible; be it outright scorn, doubt, aggression, violence or the law. It is a time for us to awaken from our slumber and become vigilant in our walk with God. There are many who would slander the Christian as a bigot and judgmental hater of modern liberal society as well as all other religions and their believers. Knowledge of the truth of Christ and holding firm to that truth is seen by many as elitist and narrow minded and you cannot let the words of others weaken your confidence in Jesus Christ as the way, the truth and the life and the only way to the Father.

We live in a world of violence and must not succumb to intimidation but must stand strong in righteousness. There are many out in the world today who are selling a gospel that is not valid, a Jesus that is counterfeit and false assurances to heaven that will never materialize with true conviction of the Holy Spirit and a genuine submission to God. There are many out there that would like to shame the believer into conforming to this world, into accepting things that are not of God and into compromising their faith and beliefs. There are many prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled and that means that God is not through with this world and it is the responsibility of the believer to obey the Commandments set forth by God in order to receive the salvation that is offered through Christ Jesus.

Do not be lazy in your faith and never drop your guard because there are many different ways that your faith and confidence can be sabotaged and you must be protective of your salvation. Be cautious in this world, take nothing for granted and call on Jesus daily for strength, courage and discernment. Be willing to fight the good fight, to run the race of your life and be prepared to receive the prize.

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile you good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.” 1 Peter 3:15-16 (NKJV).

LOVE THAT CROSS, PASTOR JOHN COLLINS

Pastor John Collins is spreading revival.  As well, Pastor John Collins is redeeming the Gospel that has been changed and altered to suit the liberal society and those who preach a doctrine of endless and only love, forgetting that there is heaven, there is hell, and our salvation is not guaranteed.  Pastor John Collins reminds us we are not even assured tomorrow, and the casualness that we approach our lives and actions is getting us nowhere in our relationship with God.

There is change coming, preaches Pastor John Collins.

Pastor John Collins preaches from the heart.  His no nonsense style, as he says, “grabs you by the britches”, in old time revival-style preaching. Pastor John Collins is not going to preach and tell you what you want to hear, Pastor John Collins is going to preach and tell you what you need to hear to get yourself right with God, to find your way to the foot of the Cross, to seek the salvation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Pastor John Collins, it is a matter of eternal life or eternal death, and the choice is ours to make.  It’s not a popularity contest, and in his words, Pastor John Collins will tell you he would rather have you angry at him for telling the truth and make you think about your salvation, than to sugar coat reality of eternity and be put on a pedestal.

Speaking from the heart, Pastor John Collins can be heard Sundays at 10:00 a.m. mountain time on Heaven’s Country Radio at www.heavenscountry.com. Daily devotionals and thoughts by Pastor John Collins can be read on Facebook and Twitter.   Pastor John Collins brings an enthusiasm to the pulpit that is matched by no one.  “I get a little loud” says Pastor John Collins, and he gives a presentation of what the Bible represents: Pastor John Collins will “tell it, teach it as 2000 years ago.”  Pastor John Collins loves God.  As Pastor Collins puts it, the Bible is beautiful and everyone needs what it says.  Links to sermons, interviews, radio programs, articles, blogs, and Youtube recordings can be experienced by clicking on the links found within this blog.  You can find information about Pastor John Collins on LinkedIn.
